Specifications

Titen HD® Heavy-Duty anchor screw.
High-strength anchor screw for use in cracked and uncracked concrete, as well as masonry. Titen HD offers low installation torque and exceptional performance. Titen HD anchor screws are designed for various applications, such as foundation slabs, beams, column bases, metal structure fastening, and other anchoring needs. The anchor screws are easily removable when used for temporary applications, such as supports and formwork, or when it is necessary to relocate the fastening.
Stainless steel Titen HD is the optimal choice for use in corrosive or extreme environments, such as saltwater or in the presence of chemical or corrosive substances.

Key Features:

  • Tested in accordance with ACI 355.2, AC193, and AC106 standards.
  • Qualified for static, wind, and seismic loads.
  • Thread design effectively transfers loads to the base material.
  • Standard fractional dimensions.
  • Specialized thermal treatment process ensures tip hardness for better drilling without sacrificing ductility.
  • No special drill bit required – designed for installation using standard ANSI size drill bits.
  • Hexagonal washer head does not require a separate washer unless specified by regulations, providing a clean installation appearance.
  • Removable – ideally suited for temporary anchoring (e.g., for formwork, supports) or applications where fastenings may need to be relocated.
  • For indoor use only.

Material:

  • Carbon steel.

Additional Coatings:

  • Galvanized.

Installation:

  1. Drill a hole in the base material using a carbide drill bit with a diameter corresponding to the anchor. Drill the hole to the specified embedment depth plus the minimum additional depth to allow the thread debris to settle, and blow it clean using compressed air.
  2. Insert the anchor through the fastening and into the hole.
  3. Tighten the anchor into the base material until the hexagonal washer head contacts the fastening.

Note:

  • Metal fastening holes must correspond to the diameter indicated in the table.
  • Use Titen HD anchor screws only once – multiple installations may cause excessive thread wear and reduce load capacity.
  • Oversized holes in the base material will reduce or prevent the mechanical connection of the threads with the base material and decrease the load capacity of the anchor screw.
  • The installation of concrete screws is typically affected by many factors, such as concrete compressive strength, aggregate type, installation location, installation direction, and installation tools.
